Founder’s Day is the 10th of September of every year and is celebrated in Nigeria.

Seminary
The Lutheran Church of Nigeria Seminary in Obot Idim Ibesikpo, Uyo has been named after Rev. Jonathan Udo Ekong. The seminary tutors and seasoned pastors to continue with the work of Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel. To remember Papa, a sculpture of him has been placed in the Lutheran Church of Nigeria headquarters Obot Idim, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. It was a memorable day with Archbishop Christian Ekong presiding over the event which had a good turnout. Also on display was his cassock
